How are the time limits set for calls?
Thanks to Danny E. of Lexington, North Carolina for this suggestion.
- The time limits for calls are established by the Sheriff or the jail administrator. The decision is made based on the number of phones generally available to the inmate population. The objective is to make sure every inmate has an opportunity to place a call when desired.
- In facilities where the number of phones available is restricted by physical constraints or there are a large number of inmates per phone, the call time limit will be lower.
